Hna Ribeiro y la Lluvia :) (Rain)

20 February 2017

What an amazing second week with my sweet companion! She is so cute.. I love when she is smiling and laughing. We had an awesome week together and we are becoming closer and closer! This week rained and rained and Thursday was sooooo powerful. I was just laughing because it was her first experience and I remember when it was mine and I couldn’t believe how much it was raining.. She is so cute and happy even when it was raining.

Thursday we were knocking doors and found a new family to teach. Carmin, is a single mom with Trinidad (8) and Antonia (15).. Carmin, is so nice and invited us in as soon as we asked if we could share our message with her... her house is something you would see in a magazine. She is a chef and she and her daughter were watching Youtube videos of the coolest pools in the world, haha I love it! She loves her daughters so very much! We shared a video with them and then got to know them a little better! She has never had a religion but has always believed in God! I KNOW SHE HAS BEEN PREPARED! We were both so happy after leaving her house.. We are going to go this week with a member that I know will be her best friend.. There really is no better feeling then knocking a door and hearing then say we can enter their house and leaving with the spirit so strong! One of my favorites of the mission!

We had an amazing Zone Conference this week! I love hearing from President and Hermana Isom, even though I see them all the time being in Centro! The spirit was so strong and I learned so many new things..

My companion is improving and adjusting every day! I love love watching her grow just like i did with Hermana Hanosek.. it’s something so special. I truly feel so blessed.. Heavenly Father is giving me the best companions! She is frustrated with the language, but I just keep telling her to be patient.. these people speak fast and bad haha. She was sad last night but I cheered her right up :) We had a contact the other day that was from Brazil and she was happy to get to talk to him and I hardly understood anything but a few words haha. The mission is the best, really that’s all I can say! Maria is still doing amazing and loving Church.. she wants to see 17 Miracles, so we will probably watch that with her this week!

Good luck this week to my brother and cousins in their big game.. I will be cheering from Chile!! Love you all family... friends... thank you for everything!!

My New Companion Hermana Ribeiro

13 February 2017

Wow I feel like it was just Monday... THE MISSION IS FLYING BY. I feel like I blink and it’s Monday again. Wednesday was the last day with Hermana Hanosek before she left for her first transfer.. It was so hard to say goodbye.. She is my best friend.. She is going to bless so many more lives on her mission!! I love her so much.. It really was such a blessing to train her and grow with her.. We accomplished so much together!

My new companion is awesome! Hermana Ribeiro is from San Pablo, Brazil! She is 32 years old.. She has always wanted to serve a mission and lost about 100 pounds to be able to serve. She is very soft hearted and doesn’t talk too much yet, because she is just barely learning Spanish. She lived with her mom and her older brother. She was a teacher of Institute before coming on the mission and loves serving in the church. She is really open about all the things she has gone through in her life to finally be able to serve. She had really bad anxiety before the mission and for this reason as well she couldn’t leave for a while. She is so happy to be here now! She speaks a lot of Portuguese to me and I feel like I can understand everything she says.. the gift of tongues is real.. I'm actually learning a lot of Portuguese haha. Its been a rollercoaster of days.. I just want to be the best companion for her! I love her so much! I had an interview with President two days ago and he and Hna Isom said that I was the only missionary perfect for her because I have so much love and happiness... They said they couldn’t have thought of a better trainer for her. I love President and Hna Isom so much ... they love us all so very much!

Our investigator Maria Trivino should be getting baptized very soon... she told me yesterday that she is loving it more and more and something I love is that she understands the importance of baptism!  We are hoping for the 11th of March!! She is amazing and reading the Book of Mormon every day and praying.. It has really made such a different in her life! The Book of Mormon is real! I want you to all make sure you are reading it every day... and it will lead you on the path of righteousness!! Love you all so much!

So crazy to here about all the flooding .. I hope it calms down a little bit for you all!

If you go to the Temple enjoy it, because I miss it so much!!

I’m so happy here in the beautiful Chile Osorno Mission!! My life is forever changed!

Bautismo de Tery Agustina / BIG NEWS

6 February 2017

HOLA... families and friends.... Presidente called last night with some big news.. I WILL BE TRAINING A NEW HERMANA FROM BRASIL... WHAT!!!!  I didn’t sleep hardly last night! I’m feeling lots of different emotions!  I’m so excited and nervous but I know that it will be a huge blessing... I feel so blessed… her name is Hermana Riberio… she will get her Wednesday!

Bueno I have so much to say but I'm gonna keep it short because I don’t have much time... this week we had an amazing baptism of Tery Agustina… She is 15 years old and so dang cute… When she was two years old, Elder Holland came to visit and she was two years old at this time in her moms arms sleeping… he closed his eyes and then opened them and said that he saw her leaving the Temple with a worthy priesthood holder… Augustina has passed through a lot of hard times in her life and got to go to EFY this year… when she went she felt the spirit so strong that she needed to get baptized... and so me and my companion had the blessing of teaching this sweet girl.. EFY changed her… she wants to serve a mission and everything… I cannot describe the difference that we have seen in her… Her mom was so happy that she finally chose to be baptized!! What a beautiful week it was seeing her enter the waters of baptism and a beautiful way to end the time of me and Hna Hanosek together!!

This week has flown by… I feel so very blessed here in Centro and its been an amazing 2 cambios with Hna Hanosek!! I love her with all of my heart! She is going about 1 hour from here! I still can’t believe I will be training again and a Hermana from Brasil! I’m so excited!! We have so much more work to do here in Centro!!

WE WENT TO ANOTHER BEACH TODAY AND IT WAS SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! I think I lost 5 pounds hiking there and back, but it was so worth it... I really am in the best mission in the world!! Can’t wait to tell you all about my new companion! The mission is life changing and I feel so very blessed! Thank you for all your prayers and love!
I’m pretty sure I’m one of the happiest missionaries in the world!!

Meeting a Prophet of the Lord

29 January 2016

Well lets just say that Elder Stevenson knew my name....

What an amazing week in the mission. I was waiting for this week to come and now it has already passed.. the time is so fast!
Bueno... Thursday night Elder Stevenson came to the Osorno Stake to talk and the only way me and Hna Hanosek could go was if we went with one of our investigators... And so we went with Maria Trivino… She was really looking forward to hearing from an Apostle.. There were soooo many people there and I saw a bunch of people from Rio Bueno… it made me so happy to see them. As Elder Stevenson walked in he started from the back and moved forward... shaking hands and talking to the people (in English with a translator haha) The Spirit was so strong in the room just having him walk and talk to all the people. He came up to me and Hna Hanosek and looked at our name tags and as soon as he saw Falslev he said you are from Cache Valley aren't you.. I said yes!! It was so cool to get to talk to him and his wife for 30 seconds... as soon as his wife saw us she said.. Sister missionaries!!! They are so sweet and loving. I looked up at Hna Isom after and she gave me a thumbs up and a smile! They both gave amazing talks and Elder Packer of the Seventy and his wife came as well! Elder Packer first got up and said that this was one of the most beautiful places on Earth and that all the members and their babies were so beautiful. He said over and over again that he has found Zion in Chile Osorno and that when he talks to President Monson on Thursday he is going to tell him he found Zion in Osorno. He talked a lot about our Heavenly Father and prayer. Something that I love that he said was, " No problem is too big, and no problem is too small.. that our Heavenly Father will help us with all of our problems." Maria our investigator loved hearing from him and it was an amazing meeting and sooo hot we were all dripping sweat!

Friday in the morning we woke up at 5 and got ready to go to Puerto Montt to listen to Elder Stevenson!! We got off the bus and there were sooo many missonaries! It was sooo crazy to see all the missionaries from the mission.. So many unfamiliar faces. Then I see Hna Schroeder!!! So happy to see her.. We were both so happy and then Hna Cook!! It was such a happy reunion. We didn't have much time to talk before because Elder Stevenson was really close to the church. We all got to shake his hand and this time he knew my name and said.. there she is again.. Hna Falslev. Then we got to listen to the Packers and Hna Stevenson and Elder Stevenson last! He taught us so much and it was all so simple and the spirit was so strong! He is amazing and is so fun.. He doesn't know any Spanish and so he would just break out into Japanese! We were all listening to every word he had to say! He ended with an Apostolic Blessing for all of us and I’m pretty sure all of us in the room were crying. I know that he is an Apostle of Jesus Christ.. that everything he taught us was what we need to be doing better! I felt the spirit so strong! Then we had lunch and that’s when we all got to talk and eat! Over 170 missionaries it was amazing. So good to see Hna Schroeder and all my companions!

I know this church is the truest thing on Earth.. I’m so grateful for my Heavenly Father, my older brother Jesus Christ, and my companion the Holy Ghost.. The three are so very important! I love this Gospel so very much and we have seen so much progress and miracles in our sector! I know that president is receiving revelation to know where we need to go! I love you all and hope you are all doing good! Know that I love you all! The mission is the greatest adventure I could ever be on!!
