We had an EARTHQUAKE!

26 December 2016

What a fast week…

This week flew by in a blink of an eye… Me and Hna Hanosek had an amazing week together. This has been one of my favorite cambios in the mission. We have found so many amazing FAMILES to teach… and after we leave lessons, we leave with the biggest smiles ever… She is so sweet and super calm and we are working so well together. It’s transfer week, but I don't think we have cambios… we were with our Zone today and they all got calls from Presidente saying they had cambios, but we still haven't gotten a call… We are so happy!!!! (but still don't know) haha. I hope you all love the picture of our investigator Vivianna with her two kids… I love this family so much… She was busy with Christmas, so we will be teaching her again this week… Her little kids love us so much and they LOVED the picture of Jesus that we gave them. Teaching families is the best!

Tuesday we had a cita with a new family that we contacted. Only Juan Pablo was in his house, so we came back when his wife was home... This family is amazing.. they don't have a religion and at the end of the lesson they told us that Carolina is expecting a baby… so with that we will be teaching them that families can be together forever… I love them so much. Okay, I love everyone. It’s amazing to find people that are truly waiting for the gospel!

Yesterday me and Hna Hanosek dressed almost the exact same and neither of us wanted to change haha, so we were twins and we sang a special number and gave talks and we didn't talk about each others talks and we get to church and our talks were on the same subject… It was so funny!! After church we were all talking and the son of Presidente Isom is here and all of a sudden I felt super dizzy and it turns out it was an earthquake and all the lights were swaying. Turns out in Chiloe there was a 7.6 earthquake... Crazy!

Yesterday was super amazing and Christmas Eve as well! We got to eat with a family and the Zone Leaders… She feed us like queens and kings.. Pictures below!!! I love the families in this ward and all that they have taught me! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and I hope you know that I love you all! Thanks for all your love and support! So amazing to get to talk  to my amazing family… I love my family... Time has flown by like I always say! Hope you are all staying warm!!! I feel so blessed with everything in my life... ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE of this beautiful adventure!

Feliz Navidad

19 December 2016

What a week! We got to sing in the plaza de Osorno, in Rio Bueno, and in La Union! So this week we didn’t have a lot of time to work in our sectors. But it was super cool, our Zone Leaders made flags for all of us to wear with our placas! It was super cool to really see all the different countries. I love being in a mission with Elders and Hermanas from all over the place. I’ll be honest we sounded great singing together! I love my Zone so much! The spirit was so strong while singing for the crowds. Its been amazing to see how many miracles we have seen in this sector in Centro 2. We have so many people that we are teaching it’s almost hard to keep track, we feel so blessed and thank our Heavenly Father every chance we get for these beautiful amazing children to help and teach.

One of our investigators Viviana has so many questions and desires to know of the truth... We had a lesson with her Friday and we found out so many of her needs.. She wants the gospel for her sweet little kids Renata and Juaquin… She told us that she feels guilty for smoking and wants to set an example for her kids...After the lesson she was telling us how she wanted a picture of Jesus living because she was raised Catholic and doesn't like that when you walk into the Catholic church Jesus is crucified… she told us that she knows Jesus lives and wants her kids to know that too! So today with the money my mom gave me for Christmas I printed a beautiful picture of Jesus with two little kids that look just like her two kids…(hope you don’t mind Mom) We are going tonight to give it to them and share a lesson… I love them so very much! These people are changing my life!! The members in Barrio Centro are the sweetest loving people!
Oh another thing I loved from this week was Monday night we had a lesson with a contact and it ended being her with 3 of her friends... One was 19 years old and the others 17… these teenagers had no real knowledge of Jesus or a religion… We shared the video of Christmas for this year… and they didn't move or talk… After we were able to testify to them that Jesus lives and loves each and every one of them. The spirit was so strong and you could just feel and see the Spirit touching their hearts! It was so special! We are going back this week to teach them all again!

I'm so excited for this week and to hopefully share this beautiful message with as many people as possible! I love you all so very much! This week I read a talk from General Conference called The Master Healer during personal study and by the end I was crying like a baby… I think Hna Hanosek thought I was losing it… No just feeling the Spirit so strong. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He loves each and every one of us so very much! That He is always extending His hand out to us. I hope you all have an amazing Christmas and that you can feel my love all the way from Chile. The mission has changed my life in so many ways and the people here bring me so much happiness. I feel so blessed to be a missionary and for everyday that I have to share this gospel! I love you all so much! I’m sooooo excited to talk to my family this week! I hope you all enjoy my photos… haha I always have my camera! Les Amo!!! Feliz Navidad!!!!!

9 Meses and 3 Families

12 December 2016

I can’t believe I hit 9 meses this last week! The time is flying by!

For those of you that may be unfamiliar with sister missionary customs... When they hit their 9 month mark our of  their 18 months of serving, they usually will make them look pregnant... as 9 months is the time given to hold a baby.
Elders, will usually burn a tie at 6 months, a white shirt at a year, slacks at 18 months, and sometimes their entire suit close to 24 months.
Not sure who started all this...

This week was hands down one of my favorite weeks in the mission! We are working so hard and we are seeing so many miracles.

Thursday we had a cita with a family we contacted in the street. Her name is Cynthia and his name is Patricio. They live in a brand new, beautiful house and their little kids are so cute... she told us in the contact that she has had missionaries contact her a lot and she never allowed them in her house so we felt super blessed... we shared the new Christmas video and then she started asking all sorts of questions about what we believe in and so we shared the restoration and the spirt was so strong.. We left them to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about the things that we had taught and they were so excited... this family is so beautiful and so prepared to receive this message!

Then Friday we were walking and we passed a house and I heard the Spirit tell me to go back to the house we had passed... we knocked the house and they were the cutest mom and little boy… she invited us in and her 6 year old little boy just started talking our ears off and trying to speak English and was so happy to talk to us.

The computers are not working and I have so much to say... uggggh!!!
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

The Happiest Missionary in the Mission

5 December 2016

Holaaaaaa! Wow so much happened this week!

Tuesday we had interviews with President at his house at 9 in the morning... he lives about 3 blocks from us, haha. My interview was amazing and he told me that I am the happiest missionary in the mission. Haha. I don’t know if he was joking or not but I’m sure I’m in the top 5! I got to talk with him for a good 40 minutes and we were just talking about how we could improve the mission and work harder! He is a great man. He asked me how the mission is going for me and I just started crying telling him how much I love it and helping these people come unto Christ... THERE IS NOTHING BETTER! Then during my companions interview I helped Hermana Isom put some Christmas bags together and then came Hermana TRIPP... I gave her such a big hug... I love her so very much!!! I talked to her about Rio Bueno and all the amazing people there! Not gonna lie, really miss that beautiful place! But I love Centro!

Friday we had intercambios and I was with Hermana Villena in Rahue... and she told me that President told her that I really am the happiest missionary in the mission so that’s what they all call me now.

Saturday me and Hermana Hanosek got back to our sector and went to work contacting and we saw so many miracles.... We contacted this mom and her daughter that were just about to enter their house and it turned out the mom was a member visiting her daughter and she was so happy to see us and told us that we need to teach her daughter and that she was almost baptized in Chiloe (which is an island) but then her daughter moved to Osorno to study and she is 20 years old and her name is Belen! The mom was only here visiting... It was such a blessing to contact them and now we are going to be teaching Belen! The Lord has really been putting us in the right path to find His children that are waiting for the gospel!!!

Yesterday marked my year mark from going to the temple for the first time... Being so far from a temple really makes me remember how important our covenants are! I love the temple with all my heart and miss it so very much! Always make sure your eyes are on the temple! Time is going by so very fast!!! I feel like I can never catch my breath!

I love you all very much and hope you are all enjoying the holidays! I am loving the warm weather here... the sun is so strong! The mission is the best! I know that I am as happy as I am because you are all praying for me... LES AMO!
